Welcome to Get Kids on Stage!
Are you looking for a way to get kids on stage at an assembly, for a chapel, or at a parent program?
So were we!
Four friends teaching first through fourth grade decided to fix this problem by writing their own plays (find out more about the authors here). Successful performances at their school led them to desire to share these plays with other educators. And a book was born!
The plays are organized into three levels of difficulty:
Using the themes of Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Bible characters each letter of the alphabet is represented by a four line rhyming stanza. Large letter card props can be used to hide lines
The Readers’ Theater selections allow your group to share a story without having to memorize lines. One group reads the lines while another group mimes the actions, allowing for maximum participation.
Short plays for 1st – 4th grade readers. Multi-tiered roles are available for all levels of participation and ability.
The collection was first published as a book available for purchase and sold at education conventions. It is now being edited and reformatted for purchase on sites such as Teachers Pay Teachers and Teacher’s Notebook. Stay tuned for more exciting news and updates!
